about

“You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We’ll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we’ll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness…you and I have the ability and the dignity and the right to make our own decisions and determine our own destiny.” – Ronald Wilson Regan (October 27, 1964)

Agent Entropy (Kyle Matthews) takes you on a powerful, painful journey through damaged fractals of sonic profundity. From slow, sweeping static to hard-cut, over-saturated and over-driven romps; Matthews worked for two years to destroy each song into shattered perfection. This one is not for the car ride or casual listen, each song is peculiarly unbalanced and broken; cut and recut to tickle the toughest of eardrums. Matthews used the Moog Little Phatty, SEGA Genesis sound chip (YM2612), and a whole bunch of raw data from various devices channeled through the µ-law and PCM algorithm – all to get the most broken and beautiful noise while still keeping a backbone of arpeggios, bass lines, and melodies.
